A JOURNEY INTO THE OLFACTORY WORLD OF
CERERIA
TERENZI
The business in the field of candles and waxes, in the
family, dates back to a very long time ago, when our
grandfather, with his brother, had a company making
candles for the liturgical world. Our father, who joined
the business when he was very young, found he had
a different vision from that of his relatives; a real
precursor of the times and with an ecological soul
(the word sustainable had not yet entered everyday
language) he started recycling water, a system which we
still use today, in all the formulas. We are at zero impact
and we were among the first to obtain environmental
certification. To answer your question, we have never
questioned the fundamental values of the beginning, i.e.
an ethical vision of the business. This is why we are what
we were, and every day, in inventing what we should be
for the future, we always reason coherently.
EM: Has Cereria terenzi, which is the name the
company started with, kept on making candles?
Pt: Absolutely. Grandfather and our father created the
first scented candle in the world in the 1970s, merging

Candlemaker. Grandfather Guglielmo, thanks to to his
PAOLO TERENZI, knowledge in the world of perfumery, was able to extract
