WAKE uP YOuR SEnSES WITH PEBBLE, LUMSON’S
GLASS JAR THAT RECALLS A ROuGH STOnE
tickling the senses, and we are not just talking
about smell and sight but also touch, is a crucial
aspect in the cosmetics world. the creation of a
sensorial tactile expression transcends the norms of
traditional packaging and stimulates new sensations
to enrich the consumer’s experience, thus giving
new opportunities to brands.
According to Widemagazine, “the choice of tactile
solutions allows designers to convey the material
characteristics of surfaces and even modify the
perceptual quality of packaging. Lacquering, embossing,
debossing, screen-printing effects all can engage the
consumer in a pleasant sensory experience, where
touch is the privileged sense, widening the horizons to
different possibilities on packaging”.
A perfect example is offered by Lumson with PEBBLE:
the glass jar of the Romantica collection takes on a
new identity, leading back to the world of nature.
Indeed, Pebble embodies the irreplaceable value of
physical touch in a world where digital interactions
are the norm.
“The search for a solution not only aesthetic and
functional but also sensorial is an experience that
consumers do appreciate and will continue to appreciate
in an increasingly digital age, due to their nostalgia for
simplicity and connection with nature and affections.
Such designs evoke positive and genuine emotions.
The future is likely to see a continuous exploration of
designs inspired by nature, with a growing attention
to sustainability and innovation.” explains Arianna
manenti, creative Designer at Lumson.
A SENSORY EXPERIENCE TO BOTH SEE AND TOUCH
By playing with different decoration techniques for tactile and textural effects inspired by the natural world, Lumson invites
you to enter a new aesthetic and sensorial dimension, where packaging totally merges with nature and nature is a valuable
source of inspiration. A sensory experience to both see and touch. Through an external lacquering step combined with a
second semitransparent one that lends the tactile effect, Lumson reproduces the natural texture on the PEBBLE glass jar
and recreates the same feeling as touching a rough stone. the solidity of the shape, the lack of sharp edges and smooth
borders give the jar a welcoming and tempting appeal.
“Not only is Pebble an attractive packaging, but it is also a sensory experience, specifically a tactile one. Its surface and its shape
remind us of a pebble and invite us to touch it, thus also creating an emotional connection between the product and the consumer,
giving an additional “sensory pleasure” in daily beauty rituals. Moreover, with its refined simplicity, this glass jar provides the image
of accessible luxury, achieving a balance between elegance and naturalness.” concludes the Lumson creative Designer.
